Pros

There's not much excess drama. You do your job, chances are it's a cool job, and that's pretty much it. Usually they promote from within so over time you may have opportunity.

Kontras

Between tight-fisted Berkshire Hathaway ownership trying to keep costs down and political failures driving costs up, there's no money to bring systems into the 21st century. Anything resembling modern collaboration, transparency, data management is either completely absent or a rogue initiative isolated to one area. Meanwhile, performance and development reviews are evidently not a thing. I've reported to three different people and each of them pretty much said good job this last year, keep it up, here's your new pay amount goodbye.

The employees that actually and actively do work and come together.

This company promotes bullying and has zero work life balance, they basically have reverted back to the 50s in relation to office first policy! So equated and behind the generations. The CEO Darin Carroll of Pacificorp was on a zoom call saying how he dislikes WFH as he was obviously at home on the call, you just can't make this stuff up, VPs quit and they turn around and get promoted because no one wants to work for a culture of favoritism and bullying!
