Pros
PRTM is a solid management consulting firm. It provides consultants with a broad set of client experiences. Every year in consulting is equal to three years in industry. You may gain experiences in supply chain, product development (including research, development, quality, etc.). Hence, the opportunity to work at a consulting firm can really grow and expand an individual's capabilities in a very short amount of time.
Kontras
Travel. If you're single, it's fine, but if you are married and/or have kids, it's tough on the family. Depending on the partner, work-life balance can be very poor. Sometimes consultants are putting in (unnecessarily) excessive long hours; billing over 100 hours per week on certain clients is not good for the consultant, the team, and the client. Partners must learn to better scope and staff projects. Compensation. Salary and bonus are poor. Most stick around PRTM to either become a partner or join a client. The "deferred compensation" model is great if you become a partner, but if you don't, the result is years of poor compensation with an empty pot at the end of the rainbow.
