Pros

Don't have to work too much unless you're one of the key players or senior managers. People are mostly laid back expect the executive board from China.

Kontras

Never any clear company or personal goals, nor are the fake ones that they create for various teams become achievable. It's very disheartening to know that no matter the efforts put in, the company will always manage to find ways to have employees fall short of their "goals". The company is ran by scientists, not by business minded individuals, so it's fairly obvious that upper most upper managers and directors have no idea what they're doing.

Incredible people to work with. Hands-on experience and professional growth. Competitive salary with good benefits Has potential for greatness but not with current leadership

- Layoffs consistently. They say "no layoffs" just to do rolling layoffs instead of massive ones on the same day. On top of that, letting go of true leaders that brought actual value made no sense and caused entire departments and the overall company to have extremely low morale - it still hasn't gotten better - Stunted growth. They would rather hire contractors than allow those that have been there longer with more hands-on experience to move up - Workload is through the roof. You're expected todo the work of 3 or more people. Break your back for a company that won't support or appreciate you. - Weird with promotions. Favoritism along with nepotism at its finest and obvious. Those with barely any experience get picked vs others with years more - Misogyny and more favoritism along with harassment from past directors. HR didn't do anything - Bad management overall. Plans change constantly, and they chop it up to "it's a startup environment" This company is no longer a start up company, and at least with majority of start ups they promote within. Here you're a number on a piece of paper, nothing more. They just don't understand the market and aren't willing to hire true professionals with experience to give the appropriate support and guidance - the rarity that they do, that person is fired because they were probably seen as a threat to alternative leadership that doesn't understand how business works.
