In the past, there has been some decent consultants but the management style failed to bring the best out in those with potential or ability and always favoured a competitive environment as opposed to the team environment that is promises at interview. In fact a lot is promised at interview but reality is very different. As opposed to listening to the “sales pitch” from management and “what a great place it is to work”, any new potential employee should approach with caution and should question why they do not have any long term members of staff. Retention is not on the list of priorities and the turnover is unbelievable (not that they would tell you that anyway!). During my time I witnessed a continuous turnover and revolving door of staff due to various factors; namely poor management or lack of management completely. This involved unfair treatment of staff including favouritism, bullying behaviour, an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty creating a truly toxic working environment underpinned by inappropriate comments, innuendos and abusive remarks.
