The software developed at OSI is cutting edge (futuristic). Very much a family atmosphere. There is a teamwork approach to almost everything. Customer driven. Our customers are well supported by a knowledgeable team. Nice mix of young people and "seasoned" people. Lots of growth and hiring new positions.

Sometimes the team approach to some decisions slows us down. The ownership really wants and does seek out the opinions of our entire staff - almost too much.

You work in small teams and you have large control over what you are working on and how it is implemented. The owners are technical enough but non programmers. They seem to not care how it gets done as long as it gets done. The internship experience was great. I learned a lot and had a lot of guidance. One team works in Java and the other team worked in Visual Fox Pro. One product is video software. The other is school financial software. They have a few small websites supporting these products for their customers as well. Work was good. Flex time even for interns. Pay was average for internships in the area. tl;dr -Average internship pay -Flex Time -Good management / Great people -Programming freedom -Good programming managers
