Have you ever worked at a company where the leaders were just a few feet away, with their doors open, joking around with the staff? Me neither. Have you ever worked at a company where you were given the freedom to do what you thought was right, without having to get permission for every little thing? Me Neither. Have you ever worked at a company where you knew if your gut that the owners were committed to being honorable, just, truthful and kind? Me neither. Have you ever worked at a company that actually fires troublemakers, instead of patting them on the head, even if they are top-performers? Me neither. OneGuard is actually the company that IS all of these things. Yes, there are Christmas parties, and free food, and fun events, and lots of rewards and perks, etc., but that's not what makes this place great. This company is the result of an unwavering commitment to beliefs and values, and that includes hiring people who have the same unwavering commitment to the same beliefs and values. The culture is NOT for everybody; those who want to gossip, nit-pick, commiserate, slack-off or infect others with negativity will not survive here, and that's just fine with me. If you want to work in a place that tries to protect you from all that garbage, you will love OneGuard.

Like any growing company, we have some growing pains. There are things I think we are "figuring out" as we go. It's really not a big deal, but sometimes we start going one direction and realize that's not actually what we want to do, and we change course. That kind of thing doesn't really bother me, but some people can't hang with that level of change. Like I said, not really a bad thing, just a fact of life. If you're looking for the refinement of processes you'd get at American Express, you won't get it here, but if you want the freedom to kind of carve your own path, you have a chance here that you would NEVER get in big-time corporate America. Yes, I know there was a recent merger, but so far nothing has changed. As long as we have the same leaders, and the same people, OneGuard will remain.
