Very little software development and people management experience in the leadership and management. Company went all in on this software project, but there were close to 0 sales from it since it launched early this year, as the software cannot handle most scenarios that the customers want. Uncertain financial future. Lots of quick and dirty hacks and thus huge amount of technical debt. Developers with key positions and key technical knowledge have been laid off. No attempt to keep morale up by management after layoffs. Remaining developers are shamed if they do not finish tasks on tight, arbitrary deadlines.
