Pros
-I left a job in a stereotypical large, corporate, sales-bro sales organization. Oktopost has been a 180-degree welcomed change. Very supportive, I love the office culture, remote and in-person colleagues are extremely helpful whenever I need something. I genuinely look forward to work every day. -Hybrid schedule- very flexible if you have an appointment or kids to pick up etc. -Management listens to feedback- there's lots of change in processes and in how we talk about the product. Nothing too crazy, but it always seems to happen at just the right time because management is big into listening to lower-level employees' feedback -Remote boss- in our office, most people's bosses are remote which I've loved. There's a great culture of working hard until the work is done, but not in a way that is micro-managed -Benefits- Mandatory one Friday off per month, unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, insurance, $100/month on a company card to spend on lunches, gas, etc.
Kontras
-Lot's of change- have to be open to learning new processes, staying up to date on industry news, and adjusting how you position your product in the market -Typically when executives and other visitors are in town, we end up working in the office the whole time they're here to keep them company. I don't usually mind because I can still WFH if I absolutely have to -The Grand Rapids office has an open floor plan, so you have to be comfortable taking calls while sitting right next to coworkers. Common in offices nowadays but different from what I was used to
