Pros
Mostly pleasant people and management. The CEO, Howard Schaffer, is really nice and personable, with an open-door policy. Fully stocked kitchen. Lots of windows. Company is succeeding and growing.
Kontras
The acquisition by a larger company (Ziff Davis) caused insurance premiums to go up two different times (although they didn't have much control over that); it caused the employee referral bonus to decrease by a few thousand dollars; it rolled our yearly bonus into our salary, eliminating future bonuses. You'll rarely get a pay raise, and you'll hit the pay ceiling no problem... but it may take you many years with very little growth, all the while, being underpaid. At that point, you can just coast to retirement if you want. The PTO accrual rate here is not great, and you also have to stress and worry about how many sick days you have available -- so "be careful about when, and how often, you take a sick day" (direct quote). Lastly, the energy here is pretty much non-existent. You walk in, don't feel a thing, and you usually walk out the same way or worse.
