Pros
- Hybrid work. - Employees truly care about the work they do and the gov't agencies to which they provide services.
Kontras
To echo what others have said, there is a dissonance between the company's message and practices. Working at OPEXUS feels like you're at constantly at a company parade/pep rally. They're very happy to tell you repeatedly why the company is good and how it is working so hard to do right by its employees, but with very little to show for it. - High turnover. This isn't a very large company, but there have been a significant number of departures (both high and low-level) during my time. It takes a lot for devoted employees, especially those who have relationships with their customers, to leave. - Work-Life balance. It's not good. Unlimited PTO is designed to make you take less and not pay out accrued time. Overtime and after-hours work was often expected. Not being fully remote is a big contributor to this, too. The company hosts wellness/social events during workdays. What good are they if that isn't factored into the work that needs to be done? I'm not going to do an hour of chair yoga if it means I have to work an hour late, thank you. - Expect little to no training or resources for growth. Getting information from others often proved to be an arduous, time-consuming affair. Little to no opportunities for career progression, unimpressive compensation/benefits, PITA timekeeping. I could go on, but my advice is truly just this: avoid working here.
