Poor pay for lower level employees Favoritism - if you are prepared to praise the senior managers for breathing, you will do well, if not, you will be made to quit - promotions only for the teacher's pets Too much management - for a company with no products on the market, there should not be 6-7 layers of management between the CEO and the average employee - multiple directors for a small department - reporting to multiple managers with big egos Managers who don't care about their subordinates - company policy makes one-on-ones mandatory but nothing is enforced and managers are not trained in conducting/leading these meetings Open and loud discussion of political opinions - to not participate in saying rude things about certain politicians was as bad as having a different opinion - saying that you did not want to talk of politics at work was not acceptable No transparency - projects and priorities changed without notice and no transparency on year end reviews Expectation of working odd hours and overtime - some departments worked through thanksgiving Uneven workload distribution between departments - some departments had down time all the time while others worked through major holidays
