The VP of Customer Success is a real disaster. He lacks professionalism and struggles to separate personal relationships from professional responsibilities, often prioritizing friendships over skills and employee development. Directors were hand-picked and promoted based on personal relationships rather than merit or qualifications. The newly appointed direct managers after the restructure seem competent, but their efforts and ideas are often overridden by the VP and Directors, who display a lack of professionalism. Processes are poorly defined and ineffective. The Account Manager role is unlike that in most other companies. It includes responsibilities such as account restrictions, payment collection, customer updates, customer service, account growth, and aggressive sales targets. This undermines the customer success focus and puts client relationships at risk. In a desperate attempt to optimize operations, German staff was brought into US teams—despite having no understanding of the local context or how things function there. No 401(k) offered. While the company claims to offer unlimited PTO, managers have started scrutinizing requests and suggesting approvals are case-by-case. There are no structured growth opportunities or career development programs.

A core principle is its "no-bullshit" approach, which emphasizes minimizing bureaucracy and avoiding unnecessary processes that slow people down. Employees at every level have direct access to leadership, including the CEO, and are encouraged to raise ideas, concerns, or challenges openly—whether through a quick Slack message or a face-to-face conversation. The CEO remains deeply involved in the business and is widely respected across the organization, inspiring teams in ways that are difficult to quantify but evident in the company's performance and commitment. This culture of ownership, trust, and openness has enabled the company to achieve extraordinary growth, driven by people who genuinely care about the mission and consistently work to turn seemingly impossible goals into reality.

Pros

Amazing company culture with supportive, friendly, and professional people. My experience at NinjaOne has been truly incredible so far. The leadership genuinely recognizes hard work, and I was honored to be recognized as an MVP by my manager. The company provides great resources, strong career growth opportunities, and an excellent environment to learn and succeed. Relocating for this opportunity was one of the best decisions I’ve made, and the entire process has been smooth and positive.
