NiSource lacks alignment at the top and consistently reorgs or brings new senior leaders in rather than just fixing the underlying issues. The senior leadership team relies more on external consultants to implement ideas that have not resulted in an actual change in process that helps our employees or customers. Leaders do not balance the needs of our customers and make short sided decisions to hit unrealistic earnings targets. Headcount keeps getting reduced at the level that work is actually done and growing at the top. The overall leadership team lacks focus on what is important to our core business. We say our focus is on safety, reliability, and customer affordability, but we don't seem to make decisions based on our priorities.
