some people might get confused on the mixed positive and negative review. here's the explanation: software engineer / tech team has far better environment where everyone is open and interns are treated nicely. user research dept is toxic, your supervisors and everyone else will 'bully' you when you make mistakes, they treat you differently, they play their own game of not wanting to answer interns' questions. one time i was talking to someone and a full-timer just came and cut off our conversation. 0 respect given. think twice before you join as user research/analyst.
