Pros

Salary is good Vacation Safety Culture Crew training is good (even if the office support of training isn’t)

Kontras

Management done by email from someone you have never met. No one on the line trusts their management at all. Chief pilot manages 750 pilots, that’s it for management. HR department is disgusting. No is the only answer you get until you involve a solicitor. They are also barely competent, what’s clear is they don’t actually want to do anything other than drink coffee and avoid doing their job. Office support is minimal and disorganised at best, the company doesn’t value experience at all over cost. It seems that everyone in the office is scared to make a decision or take responsibility, more often than not “do nothing and wait for the problem to explode on someone else’s shift” is the approach. The company is not able to change with the market, the product is boring and stuffy and doesn’t reflect what the newer clients want. Very very old airplanes. Unless the company starts adapting a bit quicker - the future looks bleak.

Pros

They pay 100% of your premiums for benefits. This is how they retain a lot of employees because the base knows that they can get paid better salary elsewhere, but not a lot of places at this size will offer that. As long as the richest of the rich people want to fly private, this business is going nowhere so there's a lot of job stability for people who keep their head down and only offer up ideas their senior leaders can present as their own.

Kontras

Office politics, drama, "traditional" ways of thinking (enjoy those 2 days at home while you can!) - all this can be your's for a mid (if you're lucky) to low end of the market range salary & you'll need to work as hard as you can for a Meets Expectations and a 3% increase (that by the way, you should be honored to receive). It was sad to see that there were great people in these walls at all levels, but many of the Director/VP level individuals who have convinced themselves they are peers to the clients that NetJets serves because they get an opportunity to shake their hands once a quarter was a major disappointment. It was especially disappointing to see how women in leadership capacities were condescending about other women who were trying to advance their careers and stand up for themselves in a male-dominated industry.
