Strong culture, great event participation, enough independence to do your own thing.

Horrible, horrible middle management. I wish the Executive team understood just how little of their direction gets pushed down into middle management. Trying to get something beneficial done that aligns with the company's culture and approach can often times be stymied by a particular director or VP's team and their own person agenda (i.e. We don't have time for that, even though we don't have to do any of the work). There are so many things wrong within NetApp right now, it's amazing to me how many people continue to stay on the Titanic long after it has hit the iceberg.
