Pros
Had some good relationships with various business units. Had some good relationships with other engineers. Flexibility and support when it was absolutely needed.
Kontras
Had some good relationships with previous managers/directors. Current ones, not so much. I've learned to deal with revolving leadership in our business unit which is just a norm here. It appears however that talent is heavily undervalued, and people are just holding on in order to avoid being let go. The culture of support the business unit had between colleagues, that someone is able to help another that may have a skill set more suited to the task, has slowed to a crawl as there seems to be less of a focus on collaboration and more on procedures. Procedures can't cover everything, or there would be no need for engineers. Morale is low. Long time customers are becoming increasingly unhappy with extra levels of support added that are unable to solve issues.
