Even if you are excellent at putting out said fires, your NEOGEN career will consist of taking care of messes left by inept management or under resourced teams. You will likely receive no recognition, monetary or verbally, for driving excellence. This sounds negative, but the reality is a lack of alignment on priorities and an honest assessment of resources required to achieve these priorities is not currently present in the organization.
