I was the victim of deceptive hiring practices here. The role advertised was certainly not what was discussed during the interviews. The reporting line was completely changed by the time I started and the role was far more junior than previously discussed. There's a practice where the majority of new hires have previously worked with the people doing the hiring. The majority of them ended up with senior managerial titles, with other longer serving but equally credentialed and experienced staff overlooked and demoted in a restructure. There's a "boys club" mentality here, and I even observed this group speaking in their own language to deliberately excluded other staff from the conversation. Appalling discriminatory behaviour.
