Pros

They offer aTraining wage and have a draw if you do not hit commission. The schedule is usually set up to give you two days off in a row.

Kontras

The turnover is very high. Few people make it. Most new people will not make commission for at least three months if they last that long. They will give you personal or sick time but will give you a hard time about it. People who take to much time are usually let go for one reason or another. It is a labor intensive job and for the first two months you will mostly be doing labor for the existing sales staff. Watch out for some the existing staff including management they will shark your sales.

Pros

When I first started to work for NW Rugs I didnt really understand much about rugs, the team and the managers are very helpful. They trained me and educated me about every single details. I am taking home around $5000/m and this is because they have a commission pool now. I love working for NW Rugs.

Kontras

Nothing really different than any other company out there

Pros

For an in-house sales job the pay is reasonable, the clientele are generally upscale, and the product is nice quality. Some members of management are genuinely nice to work with.

Kontras

The hours you are required to work are about 46 to 57 every week unless there is a holiday such as Thanksgiving, in which case you can almost expect for a six day work week the week before or after. Vacation tops out at two weeks, and the very few personal days are usually consumed by a lack of sick day allotments. The work can be back breaking. Even using the best of techniques, there is no getting around the fact that flipping through a pile of 100 pound rugs to show the one at the bottom is fatiguing at best and accident/injury prone at worst.
