- hire and fire mentality -a lot of insecurities from middle management and want to fire people from day one to get the tone -if you are better than middle management, you are a goner (must play dumb here) -management is quite stuck in the old ways of management from 18th century -high churn and burn -middle management feels they can talk down to people -no respect for employees from middle management - micro management
