Pros
coworkers in office are nice (occasionally) free coffee
Kontras
-Constant cross departmental complaining - marketers have to listen to the localization team complain about the tasks management sets you up for, now your the bad guy for doing your job. -poor management, no constructive feedback, no communication on a adult level, they treat you like a child and the CEO has a micromanagement issue to say the least. The CEO is more concerned about what your doing on a daily basis and critiquing your every move, basically a glorified manager. It never felt like I was talking to the owner of the company. -on top of the micromanagement on a daily basis they use a click tracking, screen recording software that monitors your every move, and record screenshots every few minutes. -0 trust in employees, this is pretty self explanatory referencing the issues above, but you are treated like a child under parental supervision at all times. If you want to have a professional outlook on your career, definitely do not choose NCH Software, not that theres a place for a real career here anyways. -pride themselves on terrible reviews and god-awful business practices , luring customers in to up-charge them for basic support. Felt uncomfortable marketing their mediocre products, in an ever evolving tech savvy world. -Forget coming up with new ideas, CEO does not want to hear it, and you will even be scolded for discussing it. "oh yeah we tested that years ago and it didn't work" its a waste of time being creative at this company, I mean just look at the website, its looked like that for over 10 years and does not scream even 2010 modern. Talk about stuck in the past, the company is always looking backward and never forward. -0 flexibility and you can forget being able to WFH, not an option. Terrible office culture, no talking, no laughing, no brainstorming. its all through skype chat even when sitting 2 feet from your co workers. -any responses to employment reviews from this company are not to be taken seriously. Its a desperate attempt at preserving whatever is left of their PR. Personally being a part of this disaster, Ive seen all the reviews, and they are very truthful. -They offer decent pay but only because they know the turnover is so high they cant get anyone in the roles they need. I felt I was overpaid for my role and experience, but then realized its simply because whatever you sign up for in the job description is NOT what you'll be doing. Before leaving the company I looked back at the job listing and never once did I do anything related to the posted job duties, so you cant even count on that. -almost every system within NCH is proprietary and created by CEO. some of the worst software and systems I've ever seen for marketing especially in todays market. you will not have access to anything mainstream besides Google products. SEO SOP's based off ancient in-house written programs that honestly are more detrimental than helpful to SEO.
