Pros
Get exposed to a lot of differing power plant technology, and are given "opportunities" to perform work and have responsibilities well above employment level very quickly. This is good for when you are ready to find a new job.
Kontras
The added work responsibilities do not come with promotion opportunities. You just get paid the same to take on more than you are being compensated for. Travel expectations vary based on Manager, but can be told to travel outside of normal working hours with little to no compensation given to make up for extra hours worked. If you are a woman, you really don't have much of a chance at succeeding here. Managers are allowed to make inappropriate comments/threats without any real repercussions. I seriously think they are due for a lawsuit based on the harassment and inaction by HR.
