Pros

Regular supervision, fairly straightforward HR communication through e-mail and Paycom, efforts to address concerns of client-facing staff to higher-up administrators through quarterly town halls, mandatory and voluntary trainings and opportunities for growth in the agency through promotions to senior or supervisory positions (during times of regular operation as this has been limited during COVID-19). Full-time staff are offered different health care options (free high deductible plan, premiums for other plans, plus additional fees for vision/dental coverage and options for FSA or HSA) and there is pre-tax commuter benefits, free life insurance option, and retirement plan options.

Kontras

Department is very defined by state and other mandates and have not been able to keep all staff working remotely (in Health Homes and other departments too) despite voiced concerns from staff. This is a regular concern for many nonprofits that are reliant on outside funding but is particularly frustrating when working with vulnerable clients and when overtime hours are tightly restricted. Supervisors can be a mixed bag (though there are excellent supervisors) and staff turnover is high during regular operations (outside of COVID-19) because of the burden of high care coordination case loads.

Pros

None. Even though I worked remotely at the time, I was constantly getting micromanaged.

Kontras

Under -paid, severely. They made me jump through hoops just to get the job, all to end up paying me $21 an hour. This was supposed to be a transitional role and it was a waste of time . I have a BA , am fluent in both Spanish and English , but still wound up getting $21 an hour ( which I had to fight for), and was doing the job of multiple people from what it seemed.
