Pros
The children and base level staff that actually do their jobs. Very team oriented and great way to experience the darker parts of the special needs population.
Kontras
The upper level management could care less about the kids if their parents aren't calling every day. Kids that are wards of the state or have limited parental involvement are overlooked by everyone that had any real control over their care. Those that work their butts off and receive broken bones trying to relate to these kids are viewed as lesser and unimportant. As the staff actually doing the work and spending 16 hour days with kids that beat the crap out of you, you are completely replaceable and unnecessary to make them the most money possible. The previous principal was the only one that cared and he left because, SURPRISE, no one else cares. Give your heart and soul to this job and they will suck out what little motivation and compassion you have left.
