Pros
The pay was not below minimum wage, so I guess that's a positive. There were SOME (only some) lovely employees, many of whom sadly but understandably quit as the management became worse. Unfortunately, most of them were pushed to the end of their tethers. There was also some poor excuse for a share option scheme, which the company used as a pro for potential employees but was actually totally unattainable and pointless.
Kontras
The culture of fear at this company is shocking. The work was relatively easy, but there was a clear hierarchy and those performing the lower level work were frequently belittled and patronised by those above them. There is an 'us and them' attitude from the management, they seem to think that the entire data entry team is against them and slacking all the time. This is not the case, the team works hard for very little reward and are the lowest paid employees there despite the heavy workload. They are literally watched by the higher management constantly, it's as if they're waiting for any excuse to fire them. If you don't do exactly what the management wants you to do, or what's in the company's 'best interest' then you had better prepare for an onslaught of microaggressions. They don't care about individual development at all, and there is no job security here, even for the most loyal employees. We were micro-managed down to the minute, timed for every single thing and being an open plan office, watched for even the slightest mistake. We were expendable, and literally told we were being phased out and replaced by lower paid foreign workers. Not even sure if that was legal, but regardless it was morally nasty. Avoid working here at all costs unless you are prepared to give all your energy to a company who doesn't care about their employees.
