Pros
The internship is interactive and requires the intern to be self-sufficient. You are able to work closely with the Editor-in-chief, as well as other interns. As you complete work on the quarterly issue or on the website, you are able to see your contribution immediately. Casual and comfortable work environment lends itself to building and maintaining productive relationships with other interns. You are encouraged to take initiative and pursue interests in projects pertaining to the betterment of the magazine. Overall a very enjoyable internship, positive connections were made, numerous situations presented themselves to learn more about the art world and editorial writing. Wish I could have stayed longer than my three month time there.
Kontras
The internship is what you make of it. If you are enthusiastic about working hard and learning from the Editor-in- Chief (an experienced and respected photographer and business woman) then you are in for a great internship.
