Pros
Good work environment and relationship between technical teams.
They pay a little above average, to keep people from leaving the company, because of {see Cons below}.
Kontras
Everything else:
- Company's location, horrible public transportation;
- The worst middle and upper management i've encountered. They're like 'bullies', not letting the teams and the company evolve due to sheer technical ignorance and extreme fear of change, often lying to the CEO. He his truly oblivious of whats happening within the company, and the current state of the main projects that keep the company afloat.
- HR department has too much influence within the company, often trying to know whats happening within the technical teams, but without technical knowledge to understand it. They have a typical 'outsourcing company' mentality, trying to belittle you for what you are really worth, refusing to admit when they do something wrong, and are not open to sugestions to improve.
- The infrastructure is dated, not stable and unmanageable. The internet connection can fail several times a day, and the connection between the two main offices fails as well. Management doesnt know the meaning of 'High Availability';
- All requests/implementation/availability of required infraestructure for new projects falls on one team, that doesnt have sufficient people or time to pull it off, due to constant hindrence from the management and solving infrastructure problems that should not exist in the first place.
