Pros

I truly enjoyed my time at Monster Interactive. The environment is incredibily motivating and dynamic, with their collaborative culture; i've always felt comfortable sharing feedback and pitching in new ideas to my team and boss. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly, great for anyone who wants a 'work hard, play hard' environment. I assure the environment is fast-paced and pushing in an amazing way of wanting the best interest out of your skills.

Kontras

However, I will admit that there are tough, busy times in the office that can feel demotivating, but nonetheless, the team and bosses are open and communicative on what needs to be done and if there are any things troubling us from completing the job. We work together to solve the issue and come to a solution together. Another issue is the location can be a bit difficult to find, but it shouldn't be too hard to remember.

Pros

Everyone worked with trust, respect, and a genuine desire to help each other grow.

Kontras

At first, the boss comes across as nice and friendly in front of everyone. But once you speak one-on-one, the story changes. He often flips his words, denies things he previously said, and changes the narrative. It makes you feel confused and second guess yourself. He manages people through fear and control. He wants things done his way only, and if you don’t follow, he will look for mistakes and pin the blame on you. There’s a strong control-freak attitude, and it doesn’t feel safe to speak up. My advice: don’t blindly trust verbal promises, always get things in writing. Company wise, there aren’t many benefits and the setup feels quite traditional. Work-life balance is poor. Weekends often get taken up, late nights are common, and “urgent” jobs appear last minute with no extra pay, no incentive, and no replacement support. Workload keeps piling up while the team remains understaffed. It’s mentally and physically draining. Even when work direction is agreed, it can suddenly change at the last minute, and you’re still expected to deliver on time. If you can’t, the blame falls on your capability instead of the poor planning. Management often says they are open to feedback and improvement, but in the end, decisions always go back to the boss’s original thinking. Nothing really changes.
