The benefits are pretty solid—good medical and retirement coverage. The real bonus is the ESOP if you stick around long enough. Honestly, the place feels pretty disorganized. Projects get handed out with almost no info—just rough guesses from the Director, and no one explains how they came up with the numbers. Project costs aren’t real; they’re just extrapolated from other “similar” projects and then team is expected to stay below that number. Drawings look nice but aren’t truly engineered—more like good artwork. No bills of materials, barely any real dimensions; everything’s based on scaling from known measurements. Purchasing and inventory try to manage, but without a real ERP system, it’s basically spreadsheets and scrambling. Lots of robbing Peter to pay Paul for materials. The culture? Mostly about impressing the Director, finger-pointing, and throwing others under the bus to cover mistakes. And the McKinney office? Untouchable.
