Pros

-Remote (not sure if that’s still the case). -Pretty good pay and benefits (although not everyone on the team was payed well).

Kontras

These are all related to the Medicaid side of the business. The commercial side seemed to be much better to work for. -Overworked (director’s expectations are insane and she does not value any work-life balance). You will be expected to answer Teams messages at all hours of the night and to jump back on the clock if there is anything that needs attention. -Terrible director - speaks so disrespectfully to her employees who truly believe in the company’s mission and bust their butts to make it all happen. -Unhappy team (for reasons listed above), which creates a toxic work environment. -Friday evening and Saturday shifts required.

Pros

ModifyHealth is one of those rare companies where the culture is genuinely lived, not just stated. Leadership treats employees with respect, trust, and compassion, and it shows in both day-to-day interactions and in how they support team members during major life events. Colleagues step in without hesitation, teams collaborate naturally, and the environment feels safe to learn, ask questions, and grow. The mission is meaningful, the work impacts real people, and there are plenty of opportunities to take ownership and contribute to process improvements. Leadership is open to feedback, transparent about priorities, and consistently working to make systems more efficient. It really is a people-first culture built around authenticity and shared purpose.

Kontras

The pace can move quickly, especially during large program launches or periods of growth. Processes continue to evolve as the company scales, so employees need to be comfortable with change, adaptability, and problem-solving. For someone who prefers a rigid, slow-moving environment, the fast pace might feel challenging, but for those who thrive in dynamic settings, it’s energizing.
