Pros
I’ve been working at Mode for over three years. It’s hard to even describe how meaningful the work and this group of humans are to me, but I’m going to try. I’ve seen the company scale from around 20 people to nearly 100. This certainly doesn’t come without growing pains, but I love Mode just as much today as I did when I joined, in fact more. The work and this space are both challenging, invigorating, and meaningful. Interacting with and understanding data can often be intimidating and inaccessible, and the fact that I get to help empower as many people as possible to feel confident and encouraged to take advantage of it is beyond rewarding. I didn’t know how to write SQL when I started. Now I write it often, and I owe that to the patience and kindness of my teammates. The data space caught me, but the people keep me. In many ways, Mode feels like a family. We talk about real things, things that matter. The transparency from leadership has always impressed me, and it’s so refreshing to attend a weekly company meeting that is entertaining, honest, raw, and full of appreciations. Lastly, I believe with my whole heart in what we are building. I believe in how we’re differentiating ourselves, in the people that work hard every single day to make it better, and in our amazing customers that we form close relationships with, who constantly provide us with feedback and input. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to build with. It’s been an honor and a joy to grow with Mode over these years.
