Pros
I loved my co-workers (s/o Spring), store opens at 10AM so no super early mornings, working with the latest phones, talking to all different types of people. I really enjoyed working for my managers and they were even supportive when I moved on to another opportunity. The company also offers benefits to full-time employees and you get a discount on Verizon products/plans after 90 days. They often do contests to encourage sales and show lots of love when someone achieves a goal.
Kontras
Only a couple things really come to mind. First was the dress code, which was business casual. Dress shoes and slacks are not ideal for 10 hour retail shifts especially since overtime is a regular thing. Second, certain aspects of the commission structure. For example, my store was located in a affluent area of Houston (spring) and it is rare for the store to hit 5 prepaid phones a month, much less 5 a person. The last thing is you work every weekend at this job, but that’s retail.
