Pros
This company actually cares about their customers and not just their pockets. They care about the product and service they provide and will go above and beyond to make sure it is right. The company is full of experienced individuals that very diverse in multiple areas of industrial controls. I feel confident working with this team that we can handle the largest of projects together all while meeting deadlines and customer expectations. Millennium treats their employees very fair and is willing to pay you for what you put in it. The benefits and life/work ratio are very fair if you manage your time properly, which should be a skill set you should have as an engineer anyway. Engineering is a discipline and if you are actually looking to grow your skill set, Millennium is a fantastic place to do it. Plus the owners are just down to earth good folk.
Kontras
To the future employee. These are not pros or cons. I’m just using this space and these are just statements. Their have been negative reviews in regards to code. We have standard code that has been evolved over much time and many projects for various types of motor/servo control. It takes time to understand this code as a new employee. We do large projects thus do not start from a blank page every time in order to meet budget. It only makes sense to not have to start over every time. It allows multiple people to be able to service the equipment as everyone is familiar with the standard. It protects us and equipment as it’s been proven by use in multiple projects. It allows for quicker startups. It allows us to be competitive. And finally, it is continually evolving and we invite you to come help us make a better standard.
