Pros
This job is only OK to take, and only for a while, if you have no prior experience in journalism, particularly in finance/ industry. The job was fully remote.
Kontras
There are very high expectations in terms of quantity, and they demand quality which is impossible to achieve for this volume. Culture is highly hierarchical; you feel like you are definitely inferior to your editors. You need to be on call for the full 8 hours because of the work volume and nature of the job. Very underpaid for what it is. The company outsources work to low-income countries, i.e. Pakistan and Philippines, who are paid lower than any reporters based in the EU. Reporters were terminated without notice. No benefits, no PTO, you are an external contractor and can be laid off at any point.
