No word from them since my short contract ended. Employees are far too disposable these days.

Lots of potential. Great people in lower management and shop facility. Decent benefits and fair personal time options. Decent facility and adequate tools for doing the job, compared to some shops. Most coworkers are extremely intelligent and dependable. Most people really want to do the right thing.

Lower than average pay scale for some key positions. The shop can be rather warm and uncomfortable at times in the summer. Management has no hesitation in criticism, but lacks the background and knowledge to offer anything constructive. There is no plan about the direction of the company which makes many people concerned about the future. More than half of the employees are open, if not steadily looking, for other career opportunities for fear of such an unstable future. The company is infected with rear-huggers and gossip-queens to get themselves ahead and in a lot of cases it works.
