Pros
Peer-level colleagues are great and work to help each other.
Kontras
Abusive behavior from director-level leadership. One in particular blocked me from information, sabotaged my work, forgot everything, and snapped in anger at the drop of a hat. An even more senior leader is a bully, drops bombs every week. The senior leadership tries to pit peer team members against each other, it’s gross.
The company catfished their investors and business is not living up to expectations. Not a good outlook at all. You work to follow best practices, improve processes, business performance, but the target is constantly moving from week to week. You can achieve 50 great outcomes, but leadership will find a new thing to criticize. You’ll get buried in immediate requests because the structure is archaic, and everything is expected to turn around reactively. There is a lack of direction and structure, and add on top of it the abusive behavior, it’s just not worth investing your time and skills when there are so many successful and profitable life science companies you could work for! Nothing we do is ever good enough and it comes from the very top, unfortunately.
