+Team - Merge hires the brightest, the average Mergie is sharp, driven, and collaborative. - Plenty of opportunities for socializing (annual destination offsite, happy hours and holiday events, lots of independently organized non-work sponsored hangs), but without too much pressure to attend everything. A great balance of choose your own adventure / as much as you want to be involved in. - Colleagues are very supportive of one another, recognize that everyone's moving at a quick pace and have one another's backs if things drop or someone needs a hand. +Market - Merge was early to the space and has set the gold standard for Unified APIs. Continuing to find new industries and customer types and expanding the market. - While lower cost providers have shuttered, Merge wins with premium products and best in class customer support, and is continuing to take market share and grow quickly. +Opportunity - Merge runs lean and gives folks the opportunity to rapidly grow, plenty of learning opportunities and a wide breadth to play in. - The org is fairly flat, working with smart people across all levels and often working alongside the founders. - Strong equity packages and a full company focus on increasing value.

I came to Merge from a software engineering role at a large tech company. In that role, I worked on internal-facing products with limited impact to customers. Most of my coworkers were fully-remote. I was eager for more opportunity and visibility - and decided that I wanted to join a startup. I joined Merge with hopes of accelerating my career. I wanted real experience working on the most important features of a company’s core product. I wanted to work in person alongside people who matched my energy and enthusiasm, and I wanted to truly understand what it takes to build a successful company. I wanted to work in an environment where good work is recognized and opportunity abounds. Two years later, Merge has been everything I hoped it would be. I have grown immensely both technically and professionally - in areas spanning from systems architecture to recruiting and public-speaking. I am consistently challenged and never bored. I am constantly in awe of my coworkers, many of whom I consider good friends. And I've gotten to witness up close what it takes to build a successful business. Joining Merge has been the best decision of my career.
