Pros
The money was very high for this industry. Salespeople there with just a few years experience were making $100k/$200k/$500k a year. All pretty friendly. Flexibility with time was nice - set your own hours as you are technically self-employed.
Kontras
The contracts were sleazy. You would help out some people, but royally screw another... the contracts were very long - 48 months with huge penalties for canceling. The credit card industry as a whole is rather sinister, so no surprise that it filters down to resellers. As far as the job itself, the training was all technical, then off on your own to sink or swim. With batches of new recruits every month and 100% commission, there was little investment in seeing individuals succeed. Drop out rate was extremely high. If you lasted 6 months, you were making great money. The vast majority did not last that long, myself included.
