Pros

Work/Life balance is great since Analyst positions don't require you to take work home; Work environment is casual which reduces expenses on your wardrobe (most Fridays are jean days); Yahoo AIM is used at work which requires less emails; Time-off is normally approved unless you have client deadlines or a freeze on time-off (extreme cases and rare); Hiring requirements include bachelor's degree which means everyone is educated to a similar level; Yearly goals are set by you and then approved by management; You have a personal growth manager that doesn't have to be your immediate supervisor which allows personnel problems to be addressed without conflict (in most situations)

Kontras

Success and enjoyment of work depends on work group; Communication is lacking between teams, senior management in office with subordinates; Compensation is lower than competitors since concern is on offering efficient service at competitive prices for clients; Some work is outsourced making job security uncertain; Career growth is unknown at this point for me but from what I've experienced it is hard to transfer between MMC companies; Continued education is not highly valued (masters degree or MBA); Extra benefits are available to all MMC employees but most are located in the metropolitan areas of the NE like New York, Boston, and Washington D.C. (this includes professional organizations, live entertainment, etc.) so it doesn't benefit employees in other locations and the company doesn't have comparable benefits for the locations without access to these benefits

Pros

Remote flexibility, which is nice.

Kontras

You will not get a raise and if you do, it'll be 1%. Managers will not help you with escalating issues, you're on your own. It'll be blamed on you. You'll work so much overtime you won't have a social life.
