Pros

Benefits are reasonable. Vacation, personal days, and sick time are above average if you can use them.

Kontras

There is a block on the vacation calendar for the last quarter that no one told me about when I was hired. If that was the only problem I'd be okay. The department I'm in is Retiree - Medicare and it lead by an office in Norwood, MA. They are the most unorganized, dysfunctional, and stubborn team of leaders I've ever seen. The people in Urbandale where I am are great and frustrated with the people who lead the department in Norwood. The training is unorganized. Worst I've seen mainly due to not enough time allotted. We had to start consults with clients when we weren't even certified with the carrier to do so. I'm hoping CMS never finds out and I lose my license. No clear direction on our role until the crap hit the fan. No information on how our bonuses work. Some in my class didn't even know there were bonuses.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Kontras

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
