Pros
The most standout thing about being an intern at MediaSource was invaluable hands-on media relations and PR experience. MediaSource is a small but mighty PR shop, and they provide their interns with opportunities to learn how to do work that most other internships would not trust you to do. I gained experience drafting pitches, corresponding with journalists, and conducting in-depth media market research, all of which was much more substantial than any communications/PR internship that I had worked before. They guide you through the process, but also allow you opportunities to actually take ownership of your work. An awesome team of professionals that were so helpful, and I learned so much from them.
