MaxMind is very focused on providing the best products possible and to that end invites input from all its employees. In my time here, I've seen _everyone_ make important contributions to products and company direction. It's a good feeling knowing your work matters. Additionally, management clearly cares about employees. We're routinely asked about our interests and personal goals and are given opportunities in our work to expand our horizons. Productivity and dependability are rewarded with excellent compensation and flexibility. A person who is motivated to learn, try new things, and generally be productive will do well at MaxMind.

Sometimes it feels like our ambitions outstretch our capacity. This doesn't mean that we're overburdened with work. It does mean though that it sometimes feels like there are important things we could be doing that we're leaving undone. As a relatively small company, it's a tough place to hide and coast. At times, there have been what seem like culture clashes between those who want to push the company to its potential and those who might prefer the stasis and slower-pace a large company would provide. I've sensed some employees in the latter camp have been frustrated.
