2yHi there, thanks for the review. I’m glad you’ve been finding the work impactful and you’re enjoying working alongside our incredible people.
On to the internal challenges you mention, we had to make some tough business decisions in 2022 and there were a lot of painful learnings that we’ve taken from this as a leadership group. The toxic feedback culture isn’t something we endorse nor is it part of our values. I’d be keen to hear specific examples on this along with the lack of empathy that you mention. Would you be comfortable talking to me about this?
Alternatively, as you’re hopefully aware we’ve launched our People Forum to give employees a voice in what decisions we take and how. This is a confidential route for you to give feedback so if you’re uncomfortable talking to me about the issues you’ve raised I’d urge you to speak to your People Forum rep as another option.
As you will have seen from our People Engagement Survey, line management is a big focus for us. We’re soon to roll out new training to help level up and support our line managers across the business. The aim is ultimately to ensure people are managed in the way they want to be, so this should help ensure we’re rebuilding our culture of trust and fairness of opportunities.
I’m excited about the progress we’re making and I’m keen to hear if there’s more we should and can do. If you or any of your teammates also have feedback to share, then I, any People Forum reps or my team would be happy to listen and capture those ideas.
