LACK OF FOCUS IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT - products are old and ancient, slow to get onto the market, very little/next to zero beta testing involved. OVER EMPHASIS IN SALES - myob has a huge emphasis on sales that it becomes the dominant factor and in turn neglects other areas (ie. product development, learning, consulting, support, etc). DIFFICULTY IN JOB PROGRESSION - plenty of job movement from side to side or different teams, but very little opportunties to move upward (i.e. Team Leader, Manager, Head of, etc) POOR DECISION MAKING FROM MANAGMENT - Went through a redundency process which was poorly handled and staff were kept out of the loop, downsized staff only to fill in those vacancies 3 months later. DOES NOT CONSIDER FEEDBACK FROM ITS EMPLOYEES - despite years of experience within the company (10+ years), it was quite rare that my feedback was requested. ON PAR/BELOW INDUSTRY SALARIES - after moving to an external company, I was able to find a similar role but at a much higher salary. salary increases were minimal regardless of job performance. LACK OF DIVERSITY - Although diversity can be found in general & across the board, it is however missing when looking at a management & executive level. At an executive level, it does have a feel of an 'old boys club'.
