Pros
Great new employee onboarding program. Very welcoming to new employees. Lots of opportunity to work on meaningful projects. The not-for-profit aspects are very refreshing compared to the for-profit government contracting world. While MITRE still needs to ensure we secure ongoing sponsor funding, the "bid low to win" mentality isn't ingrained into the fabric of the company. Employees for the most part actually care about doing good work and are mission-focussed.
Kontras
There are pockets of folks (especially longer-term employees) who are somewhat resistant to change, but they can typically be persuaded when presented with good data and value proposition. That being said, many folks want a lot of data to make decisions or pick apart data and/or overanalyze it.
