Middle management (groups, departments, divisions) is overworked and undervalued. HR is completely dysfunctional, top heavy with too few HR business partners to help with normal business processes. The Employee Engagement team writing responses here spends the rest of its time viciously bullying middle managers over frivolous employee complaints in the name of culture - "grace and respect" - what a joke. Talented managers quit to take jobs elsewhere.
