- get to work with many large datasets - intelligent people - good comp and health/retirement benefits

- no training structure for technical knowledge or management skills - lacks perks and technology of tech companies - political/lot of complaining about managers from subordinates and vice-versa - lacks project management and intra-team organization - very few social events/ways to connect with other people outside your team even though it's a small company - modelling is pretty basic since the research is essentially trying to get a read on trends before companies report on them, so most of the work is preparing/cleaning data
