Easy to define your own role if you can tolerate the cons (which you shouldn't.)

People * Company chronically under-staffs roles essential to business goals. * Hiring process is not rigorous, takes whoever it can get. Leads to a non-cohesive culture where employees constantly complain about each-other. * Poor compensation in both salary and benefits. Business * Flip-flops on who its customers are and what they're trying to be under the guise of "agile". Won't commit to becoming exceptional at any one thing. * No innovation in a highly saturated market. Relying on a "forgotten gym membership" subscriber base that is steadily dwindling to stay afloat.

Pros

-New experienced leadership team is determined to grow the company. -Everyone at the company is treated equally, regardless of team, position or leadership role -Have a product suggestion or improvement idea? Product and Engineering teams will actually listen to you! -Good work/life balance -Recent increased effort to plan social events/outings

-Small office, but not loud -Limited staff resources and lots of work to be done.. but this provides opportunity for ownership and learning -Many goals and growth strategies are developing and yet to fully be defined

+ Nice Location + Nobody really monitors your clock in and clocks outs. + Development cycle is pretty quick compared to other companies.

Kontras

- Many members of the Line2 Team are extremely Junior for their roles. The Executive team members often lack the experience and foresight to properly lead a team. They generally operate in a "take it as it comes" basis, which leads to hasty decisions made without any analysis on potential impact. - A couple of the more senior team members are often quite rude and openly hostile to people they don't like. If you disagree with something they say, be prepared to have emails ignored, results criticized, and unfair dismissal of any valid arguments simply because they "are too busy to deal with you." - Team members are stretched far too thin, and often placed in roles that they are not qualified for. - Meetings are canceled like clockwork. - Overkill micromanagement. - Building sucks - elevators are usually broken, and there is almost always a line for the bathrooms.
