Pros

Product can be believed in Lots of smart people to work with Promotes from within often Hackathons twice a year Benefits are pretty good Remote work is decent due to lots of documenting meetings and recordings

Kontras

Traveling to San Francisco for a week every quarter is tiring Going through lots of growth so lots of reorganizations No input on where you'll end up during those reorgs If you're remote, sometimes hard work isn't recognized as much as in office employees

Pros

For me, the best part of working at LightStep is the culture and overall atmosphere. I came from a pretty toxic work environment in my last job, so walking in here was such a relief. The company does a great job of training and onboarding new hires, while creating a close-knit community. I also appreciate the resources they put into their employees - I have never once felt like I didn't know what was expected of me, nor have I felt like I didn't have the proper support to do my job. It's also a tech company in San Francisco, so I'd be remiss to not mention the "perks" that come along with working here: Wellness benefits, L&D program, stocked kitchen, fantastic office, etc.

Kontras

Honestly at this point, I can't think of any. I see a lot of cons on Glassdoor being about working insanely long hours for bad pay, but that's not an issue here. So far, I've only seen a strong work/life balance culture (that's honestly just a respect thing).
